Hi all,

A fairly concise update this week what with holidays people using up leave before the end of the year.

GNOME

  • Some enhancements to Dash To Dock transparency support have landed upstream and will land in Bionic once there are a few more fixes to merge.
  • Support for volume going above 100% is starting to land upstream in GNOME, such as schema changes and settings daemon support, we still need to get some more input on the UI side of things from the GNOME designers before this is complete.
  • Our patches for “safe mode extensions” is awaiting review upstream.
  • An SRU for gtk+3 bringing it up to version 3.22.25 has landed in Artful as has an update to Mutter version 3.26.2

Theme
The community led theme is picking up momentum now over on the community hub. There is a new category for the conversations here: https://community.ubuntu.com/c/desktop/theme-refresh

Updates

  • Updated chromium stable to 62.0.3202.94.
  • Updated chromium beta to 63.0.3239.52 and updated snap in beta channel.
  • Libreoffice 5.4.2-0ubuntu4 uploaded to bionic.
  • Libreoffice 5.4.2-0ubuntu0.17.10.1 SRU ready in artful-proposed.
