This Week in Mir (6th Apr, 2018)

Why hello there fine people!

This week has seen the release of the Mir 0.31.1 bugfix release. The first time in a couple of releases that we’ve managed to cut a release without messing up the tarball the first time!

0.31.1 includes a number of fixes to Wayland behaviour, and a shiny build fix for Fedora, where miral's hardcoded -flto was causing issues on strange architectures.

This is already available in the release PPA, Ubuntu 18.04, and Fedora.

On mainline we’re landing some refactorings to simplify the Wayland input code, and the very first baby steps of logind support, which will make it easy to run Mir-based desktops from gdm.
