Some issues and ideeas for QA and test cases

Hey there. How are you all doing?
If you need any preparation for reading this topic HERE you go.
Let’s start

  1. Teste cases from http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com are old . An exemple is from the last change in Ubiquity (ubuntu instaler) where the steps are now different from the test cases. And more easy to read.

  2. We need to have another check box where you select if you are testing in a vm or on real hardware.(we can see that xubuntu at this moment has a fail test because of the vbox issue and no one test it on hardware.)

  3. A mailing list or something to announce when a image is ready or retest etc. i thing that this feature is important if we want (all, ubuntu and flavors) to have testers helping when help is needed. Maybe a slack channel or something.

  4. And personally i don’t see why we need to have auto-resize and entire disk cases when in description is one and the same.

I completely agree the test cases are different and need to be updated.
That is an excellent idea about the check box for VM or hardware.
I know this is an old post. Which the QA Testing - test case dialog is outdated.
Testing Ubuntu 21.10 Impish Virtual Machine worked fine & USB flashed with the same OS would error during the boot on live or install.
