How to create a Ubuntu live CD on USB stick and saving changes

Hi everyone,

I want to create a Ubuntu live CD on USB stick and when I shutdown the system can saving any changes which I made.
Well, I know how to create a live CD on the USB stick but the question is whether I need to change some system file or
there is a better way to solve my problem? Thanks in advance!
