HSP telephony via bluetooth mic no longer works on headphones What a clanger. It would only affect actual users who use their headphones for work not gamers.
yes folks the bluez team or person have removed support for hsp from bluez5
and have stated that downstream modules in pulseaudio or alsa or ofono will deal with it.
cept no-one has dealt with it. …so no help here.
could 17.10 deal with it or at least have some dialogue with the bluez folks to return the functionality of bluez 4 to bluez5 or 6?? at least until the downstream packages include a module. Is there a another bluetooth team that this work could be transferred to?
