Ubuntu can't display on LG smart TV

I’ve been having problems with both Ubuntu and Linux Mint displaying on my 65" LG smart TV. It’s my primary monitor (I don’t have a regular monitor, and Windows works just fine on it.) I’ve connected my daughter’s 19" regular TV and it displays just fine. I’ve messed with the display settings and tried installing the drivers, but it still won’t show on my TV. Is there something I’m missing? This is the first time I’ve installed Ubuntu on this computer (and I’m still pretty new to it.)

My specs are:
(Motherboard) MSI GF615M-P33
(CPU) AMD Athlon II X3 450
(Ram) 8gb DDR3
(Graphics) Radeon HD 4850 (I use a DVI to HDMI adapter)

This sounds like a bug so please help us by logging a formal bug by running this command in a terminal on the machine:
ubuntu-bug gnome-shell

The discussion should then move to the bug report.

I’ve moved this to the https://community.ubuntu.com/c/support-help-requests category because this site isn’t designed to take tech support questions. Sorry. I’d recommend using one of the official support channels listed on the Finding Help page.
