Ubuntu 18.04 Server install through wifi

I have booted into both the regular and “alternative” ISOs (which are identical) but the server install will not proceed without an internet connection. I have installed a USB wifi adapter which does appear in ‘ipconfig -s -a’ but I am not prompted to use this during install.

Because there is no internet connection, installation is aborted (which is unlike previous releases). Is there a fix for this or do I need to walk the server to an ethernet connection like a hillbilly?

It is 2018.

I’ve moved this to the https://community.ubuntu.com/c/support-help-requests category because this site isn’t designed to take tech support questions. Sorry. I’d recommend using one of the official support channels listed on the https://community.ubuntu.com/t/finding-help/712 page
