Seek help here if anyone could shed a light on this issue.
I use local CD to upgrade 14.04.03 lts to 14.04.05 use the procedure as below:
1 add cdrom repo
Apt-cdrom add
2 update the repo list
Apt-get update
3 perform the upgrade
Apt-get dist-upgrade
it pick up 116 packages to be upgraded and finished successfully. but I notice the kernel and distribution version still remain on 14.04.03 .
appreciate if anyone can share a hint.
