Installation of Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop crashed with networking enable

The network I connected to needs to be logged in before any Internet access.
Before I noticed that and disable networking, the installation program of Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop would always crash after I selected the disk I want to install and click “continue”. Then the log-in page of Ubuntu showed up, but I did no set any user and password and thus I cannot log in. What’s worse, if i choose “shut down -> restart”, it will never reboot but only display a black screen with the “_” cursor flashing(but “shut down -> turn off” works). Problem solved after I disabled networking when the installation program booted up.
If I click “Install Ubuntu” instead of “Try Ubuntu” at the very beginning, the crash dialog “System program problem detected” would just flash and disappear at a moment, which is difficult to notice.
Is it a bug? Hope the Ubuntu team notice this problem.
