How to connect my client server to synology server with active directory?

Dear the Expert,

I am currently installing a computer network system using synology server as a server, and on client server I am using ubuntu version 16.04.

I use the active directory server of synology server, because I expect all client server will automatically login to the server, and on the user side, the user can use any computer is not dependent on one computer only.

The problem is I do not know how to connect client server to synology server? for the server itself I have defined at the beginning.

I’ve tried to follow some references but failed. Is there a more practical way of setting up a client server with Ubuntu 16.04 OS? using the desktop menu or using a terminal. I’ve been doing this for 1.5 months.

What should I do, to set up my client server? What’s the difference between LDAP and Domain in ubuntu? Which one should I use between LDAP and DOMAIN?

FYI, I used this new ubuntu 3 months, and just learn it self-taught. Previously I used another OS, for computer network installation.

Please help the experts here. Thank you in advance.

Warm Regards,
Novan

Please Help Me…

Can I do client server settings, using the System Tools> Network menu, from the ubuntu menu, to connect to the Active Directory Synology Server?

Can you give me an example?

I’ve moved this to the https://community.ubuntu.com/c/support-help-requests category because this site isn’t designed to take tech support questions. Sorry. I’d recommend using one of the official support channels listed on the https://community.ubuntu.com/t/finding-help/712 page.
